Nestled in the heart of Bradenton Beach lies a gem of the local arts scene: Cove, a gallery and boutique dedicated to showcasing local art and inspired gifts for the ocean-minded spirit. Founded by Kelly, whose passion for art and the ocean shines in every detail of her gallery, Cove has become a beloved hub for creativity and community.
But like so many cherished spaces in Florida, Cove faced devastation after Hurricane Milton swept through, leaving damage in its wake. For Kelly, the road to recovery was not just about repainting walls; it was about restoring a sanctuary for art and connection—a place where locals and visitors alike could gather, be inspired, and celebrate the beauty of the ocean and creativity.
Painting a Brighter Day
At Florida Paints, we believe in the power of color to transform not just spaces but lives. Through our Paint a Brighter Day initiative, we’ve proudly donated over 8,000 gallons of paint since 2012 to help restore buildings and homes, bring people together, uplift environments, and offer hope to those in need.
When Kelly told our team about her journey, we were moved by her determination to rebuild and her vision to create a space that would continue to uplift the Bradenton Beach community. Supporting Cove’s restoration through our Paint a Brighter Day initiative was more than just a project—it was an opportunity to make a tangible difference in the lives of those who create and cherish art.
From planning to painting, the restoration was a labor of love, powered by an incredible group of friends, volunteers, and art lovers. Their efforts, combined with Kelly’s unwavering spirit, turned what once felt like an insurmountable challenge into a celebration of resilience and creativity.

As the paint dried and the space began to come to life, Kelly expressed her gratitude for the outpouring of support. “Seemingly devastating events have continued to show me the direct opposite in their wake…LOVE….Not only in kindness from friends and family, but through a new found kinship with people and businesses that I would never have had the chance to experience otherwise,” beams Kelly.
