Our product numbering system is carefully curated to tell you everything you need to know about a Florida Paints product. Each place of the four digit number represents a distinguishing feature of the product. This easy to follow system helps ensure the right product for the right job. 

Don’t worry if you can’t remember, our paint experts got you covered! We will help you find the perfect product to meet your project needs. 

What the first number means in our product numbering system.

First Number: Type of Paint

1 - Exterior Top-coat
2 - Interior Top-coat
3 - Exterior Primer/Sealer
4 - Interior Primer
5 - Metal Coating
6 - Floor Coating
7 - Green/Low VOC
8 - Miscellaneous
9 - Specialty

What the second number means in our product numbering system.

Second Number: Grade of Paint

0 - Ultra Premium
1 - Premium
2 - Better
3 - Good
4 - Commercial

What the third number means in our product numbering system.

Third Number: Sheen

0 - Flat
1 - Eggshell
2 - Satin
3 - Semi-Gloss
4 - Gloss
5 thru 9 - Miscellaneous

What the fourth number means in our product numbering system.

Fourth Number: Base

0 - White
1 - Tint
2 - Deep
3 - Accent

Hurricane Ian Store Closures

The safety of our employees and customers is our first priority. In preparation for the arrival of Hurricane Ian, our Fort Myers, Naples, Tampa, St. Pete, Sarasota, West Bradenton, East Bradenton, Clearwater, Hudson, Wesley Chapel, Brandon, Ocala, Villages, Winter Garden, Oviedo, Osceola, Orlando area, Melbourne, and Daytona stores will be closed Wednesday, Sept 28, 2022, and most likely on Thursday, Sept 29th as well. Our Jacksonville area stores will be open until 12:00pm on Wednesday.

We will continue to monitor the storm’s progress and keep you updated with our closing schedule for the rest of our stores.
